What a sweet couple! Ashley really had some definite wishes for their portrait session and we were on a tight timeline, but somehow we kept up with the time limits and managed to get everything they wanted out of our portrait session. Ashley kept a smile and the whole bridal party had a blast despite all the running around! Caterer: The City Club, Video: Shane Belle, DJ: The Spinheads , Flowers: Not Just Flowers , Cake: Have Your Cake , Hair: Blend Salon(Sarah Gomez) Make-up:Jena Corvi, Dress: Paloma Blanca
Suzi and Mark
I just loved this location! Suzi is a friend of a friend and she had asked me for location advice telling me she wanted a barn setting. I had given her some ideas, but she found this wonderful location on her own and I loved photographing there! The setting for Suzi and Mark's wedding is the rustic old stable at Rancho Wikiup in Windsor. Sorry, but I couldn't find a link to include here! Congratulations Suzi and Mark!
Amy and Neal
I've never photographed a wedding at One Fort Mason in SF and couldn't believe the ceremony site! The best ceremony site view in SF by far! Good choice Amy and Neal and congratulations! This wedding came to me via Elizabeth Bainbridge of 2 the 9s Events. She's a wedding coordinator in SF and a friend of the bride and groom. I'm always flattered when a wedding coordinator refers me to one of their friends. Besides Amy and Neal being so sweet and fun, it was fun to watch and record how close they were to their parents. Another special part of this wedding was that the catering staff was super nice and helpful when I wanted to photograph the food!
Caterer: Work of Art Florist: La Fleuriste
Hair and makeup: Sarah Hyde of sHe
Dress designer: Scala
Amanda and Dion!
Oh how I love Healdsburg Country Gardens! It's such a pretty location. Amanda and Dion are such a great couple and Dion has two wonderful children as well. This was a family and friend affair with lots of pretty details and color. The design and details were created by Amanda and a family team (such good style and taste). Wedding coordination by Elsa Vera Productions, Catering: Grapevine Catering, Florist: Dragonfly, Band: Max Perkhoff Trio, Baker: Downtown Bakery and Creamery, Healdsburg. I love chocolate cakes!
CONTEST: Best Meeting Story Ever.....or you tell me a better one.
So I had a new business meeting last night with Sarah and Joe. We were chatting and they were looking at work and I asked them how they met. Would you believe they met at a bus stop? No, not a bus stop where they both stood everyday to commute to work. This was completely random! Joe is a pilot and was in Seattle and Sarah was visiting her sister in Seattle and they happened to be at the same bus stop at the same time. How random and what FATE!!!! I loved this story so much that on my way home I thought of offering a 10% discount to the best meeting story posted in the comments section on my blog and then realized that I'm not sure anyone can beat Sarah and Joe. So I offered Sarah and Joe the 10% discount and they booked me today. NOW I still want to hear all the stories, so tell away and the best one told by Wednesday of next week will get 10% off of their wedding photography if they book me! CONGRATULATIONS SARAH AND JOE! XXOO
Sam and Joe!
You saw Sam and Joe's e-session, now here is their wedding! I just fell in love with Sam's dress from the second she put it on. It was perfect on her! The wedding was at St. Thomas Aquinas and the reception was at the Garden Court Hotel. Both in Palo Alto. We were lucky enough to have time to do some running around before the ceremony for extra portraits. So much fun! Flowers are by Absolute Elegance and catering by Il Fornaio.
Tiffany and Adam!
Oh sweetness! Tiffany and Adam were gorgeous to photograph as well as their adorable daughter Capri. I loved shooting at the new Cavallo Point in Sausalito. Such a nice location and eco-friendly. The food was wonderful! Cavallo Point was an important location for Tiffany and Adam since they could get married with a view of the GG bridge which is where they got engaged! I'm out and about today so I cant tell you yet who did the flowers, but will get back to you on that! Here are some photos. Enjoy!
Their darling daughter, Capri:
Shawnti and Andrew!
I love the Flood Mansion in San Francisco and was so excited to shoot Shawnti and Andrew's wedding at the Flood! Shawnti just cracked me up the whole day. She's into drama and bling and I just LOVED that! AND best of all, she loved being photographed. My pleasure! Sherry Long did her makeup and hair, Flowers were by Flowers By Dallas, Thomas Hughes did the viedo, Knight's Catering was the caterer and Buttercream Studio created the gorgeous cake!
Shawnti wanted to do this shot and I loved it!
I just LOVED this train!
Edie took some shots of the guys before the ceremony:
Shawnti + Flood = Gorgeous!
Christina and J.P.!
Christina and J.P. had their reception at a brand new venue! It's called Rosewood Sand Hill in Menlo Park and I just loved their ballroom. How can one not love fabric walls! I also loved the table centerpieces. Very original. The ceremony was at the very lovely Santa Clara Mission and was gorgeous too. OK. So were Christina and J.P.! Wow! Look at how blue their eyes are!!!! Asiel Design was the florist and Rosewood did the catering.
OK. Edie has been taking some awesome groom shots! I looooove this shot of J.P.!
Blahahaahahaha. Crazy dancing!......
Peg and Ted!
Congratulations to Peg and Ted! This wedding was special in many ways, but I really loved being able to photograph the wedding of one of our military. They do so much for us and I was happy to do something in return. Plus I loved the military jacket and look at all the medals of honor! The location was at The Palmdale Estates in the east bay.
Jodi and Shane!
Gosh. I can't believe how blessed I am that I get to photograph such beauty! Lucky me. Congratulations to Jodi and Shane who were married this month at the Kohl Mansion in Burlingame. Nancy Liu Chin Designs was the florist, Emily Tenner was our coordinator, Carolyn Wong was the baker, Stacey McClure did makeup and Thomas John Events was the caterer. Gorgeous! Thank you Jodi and Shane for choosing such amazing vendors and a great location!
Joanna and Padraic
What a pretty outdoor wedding at the Marin Art and Garden Center and Joanna and Padraic were such fun to photograph! The day went incredibly well with everything running smoothly with the efficient Samar of Ribbon & Tie coordinating. Sage Catering does the most incredible food presentation and I really enjoyed photographing their work. The flowers were so bright and gorgeous! They were done by Svenia of Chestnut and Vine. Wendy Walter did the hair and makeup. Thanks to all for such a gorgeous wedding to photograph!
The very talented Edi Fogel helped me out on this wedding and I loved this shot she took of Padraic:
The guests had such fun with Photoboof! :

This was a Ben and Jerry's ice cream cake. Yum!:
Ryan and Gena
The Bently Reserve is a GORGEOUS location, but I really haven't seen it look as gorgeous as it did for Ryan and Gena's wedding. I think in part, their chair choice really reflected the style of the room and Classic Party Rentals had the exact chair and also, the lighting was truly wonderful and was done by Impact. Amy Nichols of Amy Nichols Special Events was the coordinator and Floramor the florist. McCalls was the caterer and as always was exceptional. Congratulation Gena and Ryan for a truly gorgeous wedding and many happy years together!
More Deborah and Kwong!
Finally back from vacation and the Fourth of July holiday and wanted to post a few more from Deborah and Kwong's stunning wedding at Casa Real! See more details in my previous entry! Taylor Pham hard at work:
Loved the groom's shoe shot taken by my assistant photographer Breck:

Deborah and Kwong Sneak Peek!
Oh gosh! I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow and was working on this edit today and just HAD to post some of these before I leave town! I LOVED this wedding and can't tell you how much I was in love with the back of Deborah's gorgeous gown! Casa Real was the venue and Katherine of Custom Celebrations was the fab. coordinator. Taylor Pham did hair and makeup. More when I return on the 30th!
Sigh. Gorgeous! More to come and off to the midwest for a week and mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary!
Laura and Dave!
Congratulations to Laura and Dave! I went home the night of their wedding and told my husband the day was a total "love-fest" for me! Honestly. So much love between family, friends, Laura and Dave, I loved everyone, I loved everyone on the vendor team and it just went on and on. It was a great day! The wedding and ceremony were at Temple Isaiah in Lafayette, CA, the wonderful coordinator was the ever attentive Michelle Kimmons, I always love working with Barbara Llewellyn Catering, the florals were by Anne Mendenhall Flowers and the always amazing Katrina Rozelle did the cake.
This is my favorite tradition of any wedding. In Jewish weddings, the bride and groom circle each other seven times before going under the Huppah. There are always seven blessings in the Jewish ceremony and I think this tradition when the ceremony starts is so sacred and wonderful:
I couldn't have one, but those mojitos sure looked good!
Carole and George!
I love traditional ethnic weddings and am always amazed at the variety of weddings I photograph! Ethnic weddings are always so festive and full of ceremony. George and Carole were married at the Cathedral of the Ascension in Oakland, CA and they were such a nice couple to work with. Both so calm! What a wonderful wedding!
I loved the little gold bridesmaid's purses. They echoed the bride's:
One tradition is for the family of the groom to come and welcome the bride. They do an interesting sound with their tongues in addition to singing:
I always direct my assistant to shoot from the balcony if there is one and Breck got this great shot utilizing the flash from my camera down below:
Pretty all in white theme:
Love the Greek tradition of throwing money!
This little guy had all the moves on the dance floor!

Holly and Gilbert's Wedding on Green Wedding Shoes!
I'm so pleased that the gorgeous wedding blog Green Wedding Shoes has posted a story on Holly and Gilbert's wedding! I just love this blog and for those who don't know, there are some wonderful bridal blogs out there these days which can help you with images and ideas for your wedding planning. Here are a couple of photos from my post on my blog last month, but be sure to check out the Green Wedding Shoes website!
Holly and Gilbert
Thanks so much, Holly and Gilbert for being such fun and having such a fun bridal party! Holly and Gilbert were married at one of my favorite venues: Headlands Center for the Arts in the Marin headlands. I think Katie Powers who is the exclusive caterer at the venue is one of the nicest people I have ever met and work with and her food is always wonderful. In this case, they were serving afternoon hors d'oeuvres after the ceremony and then the wedding was heading to a Chinese banquet at the Koi Palace. I was also thrilled to be working again with one of my favorite florists. Melissa of A Simple Ceremony is so very creative!
I loved these games the bridal party played. Gilbert had to try to break into the house with his groomsmen to try to find his bride and the bride's attendants had to keep all of them out and occupied:
BTW, I offer this self-portrait setup as an addition to any package. Guests have a lot of fun with it. In this case, our ever-fun bride and groom brought props:
or in this case played with one of Melissa's floral balls!
