This couple wanted, San Francisco, low key and great food and Greens Restaurant fit the bill. Classic San Francisco with one of the ONLY views of the Bay AND the Golden Gate bridge, Greens was founded by the San Francisco Zen Center, focusses on vegetarian meals and is consistently voted one of the best restaurants in San Francisco. To be able to rent the whole thing out for your wedding is such a cool thing!
Brittany at Greens was a cool cucumber under pressure when the florals hadn’t shown up and it was one hour before guests were to arrive. Seemed there was a mixup on the contracted wedding date and after a bit of a (calm) scramble, Fiori Florist on Chestnut saved the day putting together truly last minute florals with what they happened to have on site at the very end of their day. I had a tiny challenge of doing the couple’s entire photo session without flowers and managed to get an understandably reluctant bride outside in what felt like hurricane-force foggy cold winds coming off the bay.
We all had fun, it was warm and cozy inside, the Golden Gate Bridge managed to make appearances almost the whole time despite the fog and even us vendors got to eat in Greens tiny private dining room sharing the same gorgeous salad and entrees as the guests. What a perfectly food and family-centric laid-back wedding in a fabulous location!
