Your mom only turns 80 once, if you're lucky enough to celebrate that milestone with her. Milestone birthdays, Mitzvahs, class reunions, proposal parties: these are the moments worth saving as a gift of photography. I get emotional at so many of these events—they're that meaningful. For my own mom's 80th, I brought my camera and gave her the photos as an album weeks later. These milestones are worth the capture.
