I received an email from the editor of Dutch wedding blog The Perfect Wedding to tell me that two of my images had been featured on their blog. What a happy surprise! Check out the feature here, or visit the other weddings I've photographed for additional wedding inspiration!
Rancho La Puerta Part two!
I was fortunate to go a second time to Rancho La Puerta last week to photograph their spa!I'll post some photos of my shoot next week, but here's a sweet one from an early morning hike I did with a few guests at the Ranch taken by one of the girls on the hike (I'm second row left). Every morning there's a choice of several hikes, but you have to get to bed early to get up in time! Maybe we should ALL get an early morning hike in this Thursday before we eat that big Thanksgiving meal!
Grace Cathedral and The Westin St. Francis - Alissa and Scott!
Another classic The Westin St. Francis wedding, and with a bride who is reminiscent of Sophia Lauren! I just love those fluffy short veils and oh my, what a handsome groom. So many great classic pictures from this wedding, it was hard not to convert them ALL to black and white! Off to Mexico for another shoot at Rancho La Puerta in Mexico for a week! See my previous post from the ranch. This time I'm going to photograph the spa! Yippeee!
The Clement Hotel, Monterey - Kim and Matt!
Such a sweet couple! Kim and Matt met at their gym and are super fit! Everyone laughed that they actually ate sugar (wedding cake!) at their wedding. Loved The Clement Hotel in Monterey. It juts out over Monterey Bay and the architecture and design is lovely. Matt sent me the nicest e-mail EVER when they decided they wanted me to photograph their wedding, and I loved the feedback I got when they saw their photos! Matt said: "We are blown away! You are nothing short of amazing! Thank you so much for everything and capturing our day beyond perfect. The beauty and emotion of it all was perfectly depicted. Now the hard part of choosing our favorites!" Congratulations Kim and Matt!

I loved their circular ceremony set-up, and Paula LeDuc Fine Catering did an amazing job of transforming the same area into the dining area while guests were at the cocktail hour. No small feat! Carneros Inn, Napa Valley - Susan and Billy!
I was so happy to photograph at The Carneros Inn--a cottage resort nestled in 27 acres of vineyards and valleys in Napa Valley--for my first time. The Carneros Inn is a newer venue in wine country and I just loved its simplicity. The staff and the food there are also pretty great. The ceremony was held in the budding apple orchard and I just loved the bright freshness of the green apples and green and white colors throughout. My bride Susan has impeccable taste and it made for a bright clean look with plenty of pretty details. I just loved the twine touches around the dinner menu and invitation and the wheat grass setting for the escort cards. Such simple beauty. Oh, and Susan and Billy couldn't have been any sweeter. What fun I had photographing this wedding!

Angela Baby Number Two!
My dear friend Angela is having baby number two any day now. I was privileged enough to photograph her first maternity session and her daughter, Miranda, when she was a few months old. She asked me to take a few of the family before the new baby is born and here are a few of my faves along with some from our previous session and from when Miranda was a darling baby.
How adorable was Miranda as a baby? Here are a couple from her baby session!
And how beautiful is Angela in her first maternity session? She was so excited to have Miranda, and I can hardly believe she's got another baby on the way!
Lauren and Nick's Healdsburg Country Gardens wedding
Oh pink! I just loved the shabby chic, pink frilly-ness of this wedding, and loved that it was Lauren's vision and Nick was totally open to it. It made for a gorgeous wedding at Healdsburg Country Gardens. Lauren and Nick, the sweetest couple, had the time of their lives on their wedding day! Lauren put so much of her own creativity and energy into this wedding -- she handmade the favors, escort and place cards, guest book, cork place card holders and the drink flags, which she found on Martha Stewart Weddings. I'm glad that on THE DAY she was able to relax and enjoy.

Florist: Blue Orchid Floral
Event designer: Grisez and Co. Event Design
Caterer: Park Avenue Catering
Cake baker: Sweet on Cake
Neighborhood egagement session
Jenn and Dario love their little San Francisco neighborhood and even met at a local cafe. It rained on the day of our shoot, but we had fun bopping around in the rain anyway! They were even greeted at the cafe where they met with a glass of champagne! Look for their wedding June of next year!
Wedding hair accessories
There are so many ways to accessorize your wedding day look and today, I wanted to share with you a few recent favorites! Andra looked beautiful in a cathedral length veil that perfectly complemented her custom-made gown, while Emily added a little modern flair to overall look with a spunky birdcage veil. And who says hair accessories are only for women? I love that Mark sported a swanky top hat on his wedding day!
A favorite favor
If you can take your eyes off Lauren and Nick's gorgeous floral centerpieces -- I know it's hard! -- you'll see their sweet favors. This couple gave guests something delicious they could enjoy long after the wedding was over, and packaged it in a beautiful fabric and simple jar. I absolutely love these favors! And I'd love to know -- what was the best favor you've ever received?
Happy weekend!
Happy weekend, readers! I hope you plan to do something fun -- spend time with friends or family, enjoy a fine meal or take a trip to somewhere warm and wonderful.

Healdsburg Country Garden Wedding - Austin and Brian
What a special wine country wedding location and a special couple! I just posted a single image of Austin on my blog because while I was editing, I was so struck at how pretty she is! LOVED those curls. And when Brian saw her walking down the aisle? Look at the look on his face -- it says it all. I don't think there was a dry eye in the place. I thought the rustic details at this wedding were fun. Loved the zinnias and bright colors nestled into simple baskets on each table. Pretty, pretty, pretty!
