Deborah and Kwong Sneak Peek!
Oh gosh! I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow and was working on this edit today and just HAD to post some of these before I leave town! I LOVED this wedding and can't tell you how much I was in love with the back of Deborah's gorgeous gown! Casa Real was the venue and Katherine of Custom Celebrations was the fab. coordinator. Taylor Pham did hair and makeup. More when I return on the 30th!
Sigh. Gorgeous! More to come and off to the midwest for a week and mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary!
Laura and Dave!
Congratulations to Laura and Dave! I went home the night of their wedding and told my husband the day was a total "love-fest" for me! Honestly. So much love between family, friends, Laura and Dave, I loved everyone, I loved everyone on the vendor team and it just went on and on. It was a great day! The wedding and ceremony were at Temple Isaiah in Lafayette, CA, the wonderful coordinator was the ever attentive Michelle Kimmons, I always love working with Barbara Llewellyn Catering, the florals were by Anne Mendenhall Flowers and the always amazing Katrina Rozelle did the cake.
This is my favorite tradition of any wedding. In Jewish weddings, the bride and groom circle each other seven times before going under the Huppah. There are always seven blessings in the Jewish ceremony and I think this tradition when the ceremony starts is so sacred and wonderful:
I couldn't have one, but those mojitos sure looked good!
Jodi and Shane E-Session!
What do you do when it turns dark and stormy during the engagement shoot? Use it to your advantage! Jodi loved the shoots I did for Deborah and Kwong and Gena and Ryan, so we went to the same locations and got a different look! We had a blast on this shoot and I'll look forward to their July wedding at Kohl Mansion!
Loooooved Jodi's boots!
Carole and George!
I love traditional ethnic weddings and am always amazed at the variety of weddings I photograph! Ethnic weddings are always so festive and full of ceremony. George and Carole were married at the Cathedral of the Ascension in Oakland, CA and they were such a nice couple to work with. Both so calm! What a wonderful wedding!
I loved the little gold bridesmaid's purses. They echoed the bride's:
One tradition is for the family of the groom to come and welcome the bride. They do an interesting sound with their tongues in addition to singing:
I always direct my assistant to shoot from the balcony if there is one and Breck got this great shot utilizing the flash from my camera down below:
Pretty all in white theme:
Love the Greek tradition of throwing money!
This little guy had all the moves on the dance floor!

The Regency Center Centennial Gala!
As I mentioned in my last post, this party was quite a party and by the looks of it and in times like these much needed by the 2,000+ people that attended! I'm posting The Regency Center's three gorgeous rooms in order from where the party started on up, but first a HUGE thanks to our hosts! What a fabulous job! Also, This was a lot to post, so I apologize to anyone whose work does not appear here. I couldn't post everything since it was such a huge party, but hopefully you will be represented by the Regency! EVERYTHING was gorgeous!

Gena and Ryan E-Session
Speaking of good sports and fun on an engagement shoot, it ended up pouring on the day of Gena and Ryan's e-shoot. Luckily we were scheduled to shoot in Northbeach and they didn't mind ducking in to a cafe for some drinks and fun shooting inside while we waited for the rain to calm down a bit!

Yowsa! What a Party!!!
The Regency Center held their Centennial Gala Celebration last night utilizing all three of their gorgeous ballrooms. It was a truly fabulous event and I was honored to be asked to photograph it. I took the morning off because I was pooped from running around three floors so only have time today to provide a sneak peek. There will be tons more on Monday! I have also listed all of the incredible sponsors below the photographs, but will specify which room is which and sponsors on Monday! I now have to get ready for Jodi and Shane's wedding!

Holly and Gilbert
Thanks so much, Holly and Gilbert for being such fun and having such a fun bridal party! Holly and Gilbert were married at one of my favorite venues: Headlands Center for the Arts in the Marin headlands. I think Katie Powers who is the exclusive caterer at the venue is one of the nicest people I have ever met and work with and her food is always wonderful. In this case, they were serving afternoon hors d'oeuvres after the ceremony and then the wedding was heading to a Chinese banquet at the Koi Palace. I was also thrilled to be working again with one of my favorite florists. Melissa of A Simple Ceremony is so very creative!
I loved these games the bridal party played. Gilbert had to try to break into the house with his groomsmen to try to find his bride and the bride's attendants had to keep all of them out and occupied:
BTW, I offer this self-portrait setup as an addition to any package. Guests have a lot of fun with it. In this case, our ever-fun bride and groom brought props:
or in this case played with one of Melissa's floral balls!
All in the Family!
I photographed sweet Ruby a couple of years ago when she turned one and now it was her sister Greta's turn. Family was in from Australia, so we did a big family shoot, but it was mostly about Greta. Thanks Sharon and Mark. Your girls are so lovely!

Welcome Kamiko!
You may recall seeing my friend Sara's maternity photos a few weeks ago. Well, here is Kamiko! Almost three weeks late, Kamiko is still just a little peanut. I just love photographing the newborn stage within two weeks of birth. These photos were taken a week and a half after Kamiko's birth. So tiny and I think B&W and skin shows just how fragile we are when our lives begin.

This cracks me up. I don't think Guapo the dog is too sure about the disturbance of peace!
Voted "Best of" 2008 by Project Wedding!
I was thrilled when I received notice yesterday from Project Wedding that I made their "best of" list for 2008! If you haven't checked out project wedding for your planning, you should. Their site is well organized and really pretty too! Thanks to all of my brides who wrote a review and I encourage any of my clients to go to the site to review my work as well!
Olivia and Erik!
I was thrilled when Erik contacted me remembering he liked my style of shooting and work from his friend Kyle's wedding a few years ago. Erik was Kyle's best man and Kyle was Erik's best man. Erik was marrying Olivia down in San Diego and asked if I could come down to shoot. Of course, I did and what fun! The ceremony was at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the reception was at the Bahia Hotel.
Sami and Lance
Sami and Lance got married this past Saturday at Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside. It was a gorgeous day for an outdoor wedding and the winery looked great. I was especially impressed with the staff at the winery and the wonderful caterer: Thomas John Events. Everything went so smoothly and the food was gorgeous! Sami and Lance were such an easy going couple and had great fun on their wedding day!

Every once in a while the butter presentation deserves to be photographed. Loved this!
