I was flattered when the Timbers Resort Group asked if they could use my photos to illustrate Mayacama weddings. I love shooting at the GORGEOUS Mayacama Private Resort and Golf Club and am thrilled to have my work represent a wedding at the property. Here is a glimpse of the post, but you can view the full Timbers Resort post here and Thanks to Stephanie Beer of Covenant Coordinating for all of her hard work producing these weddings!
Yowsa! Julie Atwood of Julie Atwood Events and the folks at ISES really know how to throw party! Julie Atwood, already a talented stylist, worked with Meredith Law of M. Design on flowers and La Tavola Linen to create the feel of this lovely garden and barn event. Back to Earth Catering prepared such yummy food, including roasted harvest veggies and beef shank. YUM! This was such a fun and gorgeous little party! Such a success, too. Melia and Matt, founders of Wedspring, San Francisco, which is a bridal resource library, 7x7 Magazine, St. Germain and Mumm Napa were the major sponsors for this event and we had a turnout of 300 people! A representative from St. Germaine was pouring lovely champagne, St. Germaine cocktails, Mumm Napa was pouring champagne, yummy passed hors d'oeuvres were passed by Feast Catering and sweet treats were abundant by Cake Bloom and A Spoonful of Sugar. Michelle Walker and I photographed and there was a super fun photo booth by Magnolia Photo Booth Co. . WedSpring is a wedding planning service and resource library that offers complimentary services to brides, and I'm pleased to be represented! I encourage you to come and visit WedSpring, San Francisco!

I've been working on putting together images for a new venture in San Francisco called WedSpring, a concierge-style service that connects engaged couples with some of the area's best wedding vendors! They have a multimedia wedding resource library and design studio in the city -- so if you're in the neighborhood, you should definitely check it out! It's been a lot of fun looking back at some of my favorite images, which you will be able to view at WedSpring when it opens later this month! In the meantime, you can check out some of the upcoming wedding events in our area on their blog!
I was recently introduced to Wedding Paper Divas, and I just love their business model — ordering your invitations online makes things so easy! How pretty is the below floral invitation? I also love that Wedding Paper Divas frequently offers special discounts and promotions to their customers, which you can check out here. Some of their special offers end today, so you'd have to act fast!
Always a thrill when someone in the wedding industry asks me to shoot their wedding! Emilie is the catering director at the Fairmont San Francisco (one of my fave locations!) and she's getting married! So looking forward to seeing her on her wedding day, but it was fun in the meantime to photograph her Chrissy Field e-session with her sweet fiance! Stay tuned for her wedding pics this summer!
The staff appropriately played the theme music from "The Godfather" when the doors opened to reveal the spectacular barrel room that was the setting for Michele and Ron's rehearsal dinner at Merryvale Vineyards in St. Helena. Spectacular with the candelabras and king's table, the New York crowd was dazzled by wine country at it's best! Catered by neighboring restaurant Tra Vigne, these destination wedding guests were in for a great treat. Michele did a tremendous job "branding" her wedding (it's what she does for a living). I thought the welcome bags were gorgeous, complete with their own new family "crest" and even a little post mark bearing their initials. Not a detail was missed. Check back later for Michelle and Ron's wedding images!
It didn't rain on THEIR parade! The Bay area has had the wackiest weather this past year or so, and yet it continues. We had rain on Megan and Sean's wedding day (rain is a rarity between the months of June and October!) but thankfully the ceremony was at a church and Healdsburg Country Gardens has a barn! Elsa of Elsa Vera Productions was quick to make the decision to hold dinner in the barn rather than the garden and by the time the guests arrived, the barn was set up with gorgeous long tables for the wedding feast! During cocktail hour the weather broke and guests were able to wander the lovely grounds before and after dinner. Everyone had a wonderful time drinking and dancing and eating amazing food! Sometimes it just doesn't matter what the weather is if you're got the right place, attitude and crowd!
Vendors involved in Megan and Sean's wedding included:

Cliff and Vivian are truly two of the sweetest people I've ever met, and I think it shows in their photos! They had such a good time on their wedding day! This was my first time shooting at Carmel Valley Ranch and I loved it! There were loads of gorgeous spots to photograph (in fact, it was hard to pick and choose which locations) and the staff was terrific. The food was also really yummy.
Sarah Ward of Sarah Ward Events did a great job of coordinating the day, and I loved Chic Event Rentals and Rose Hip Floral's simple design ideas. The architecture at Carmel Valley Ranch and the setting kind of speaks for itself!

I think I say this every time I post a Jewish wedding, but they are so great, I have to say it again! I love all the traditions at a Jewish wedding and although I'm not Jewish, I even tried to convince my husband to incorporate the circling of the bride and groom into our own ceremony, but he didn't go for it. I think it's one of the single most wonderful things I see at wedding ceremonies -- it's steeped in Biblical texts that say a woman encompasses and protects a man. As the bride circles her groom, he prays, and it's believed that when the ritual is complete, the pair are united in souls. I also love the craziness of the Hava Nagila dance that usually precedes dinner and at Leah and Jason's wedding, the very traditional "Tish," a table filled with snacks and drinks where family and friends celebrate with the groom before the ceremony.
Leah and Jason are currently living in Israel and did much of the planning from overseas with help from the great staff at Casa Real, which is where the wedding took place. The circular seating at the ceremony was especially nice as well as the gorgeous flowers and gold tablecloths. Such a festive and gorgeous wedding!

Ray and Lily wed twice, celebrating first in a traditional American church service and again in Chinese tea ceremony, complete with a banquet. The first took place at an adorable 100-plus year old church in the south of San Francisco -- the second at a champagne and seafood restaurant. Both ceremonies, along with the weather, were beautiful!
